Glass Recycling at Furman University will no longer be available. Beginning Saturday, Sept. 21, all glass should be placed in the trash bins (not the recycling bins). This is important because if glass is placed in with the single stream recycling (blue bins), it will contaminate our recycling stream and then that recycling will be landfilled.

Welcome Back to the Marvin Book Nook! Special thanks to all of our volunteers who have been hard at work keeping the Book Nook in fine shape for all Olli members. As a new semester begins please take advantage of the wonderful selection of books available. Keep them as long as you like. If you are returning or donating books, please do not shelve them. There is a basket in the Book Nook for returns and donations. If you have books to donate, please read the guidelines for book donations.
Books should be in good condition with no mildew, ripped pages, or torn bindings.
We do not accept any health related, diet or medical books.
DVDs, Books on Tape, and CDs are welcome but please no VHS tapes.
We receive many donations and cannot accommodate all in the space we have. Our volunteers are trained to keep our shelves current with a broad selection of books represented. No book goes to waste! Books that are rotated off our shelves are donated to the Greenville Literacy Association. We hope you will continue to enjoy the Book Nook. If you’d like to volunteer to help, please leave your name at the office. All are welcome!
