Applications are being accepted for Class 3 of Senior Leaders Greenville. Senior Leaders Greenville
(SLG) builds awareness of the essential role of seniors in the community and the critical issues they face, empowering participants to become advocates seeking better lives for seniors in Greenville, the Upstate, and beyond. SLG begins with an Orientation in August, concludes with a graduation luncheon in May, and includes nine day-long sessions with speakers, group activities, and exercises that will inform you on topics relevant to seniors. The cost is $350 and scholarships are available. Applications (due June 1) and more information are available on the OLLI Website and in the OLLI office. Questions? Very Special Opportunity! Dr. Lorraine DeJong, Associate Professor of Education, is teaching an intergenerational course on what it means to be a senior adult in today’s society May 8-29, 10-Noon at the Herring Center. OLLI members are encouraged to attend one, two or ALL of the classes. Daily topics for the course are available in the OLLI office. Please take a look at the topics and sign up to participate. Your involvement in this seminar will bring the topics alive for the college students and will definitely include lively discussions and excursions on topics of interest to both generations!
