Children’s Authors & Illustrators Week

The week of February 6-12 celebrates and recognizes authors and illustrators who create books for young people and promote literacy by inspiring enjoyment of quality literature.

Did you know the Furman library has a large juvenile (children’s) collection on the ground floor? It serves our education majors, professors and staff who have children, and everyone who enjoys reading children’s and young adult books!

What were some of your favorites growing up? Were you a Stinky Cheeseman fan or a If You give a Moose a Muffin devote? Did you spend your time reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen or Sarah Plain and Tall? Tell us what your favorites were and we’ll publish the list at the end of the week.

Tomorrow, an expert on juvenile literature reveals her top ten children’s books!
