Fall @ Furman

The leaves are changing colors. It’s getting chilly at night, but not cold. To paraphrase Miss Congeniality – “Describe your perfect season.” “That’s a tough one. I’d have to say fall at Furman. It’s not too hot and not too cold. All you need is a light jacket.” It’s a great time of year for those of you who like sweatshirts and sweatpants like I do.

October was a whirlwind. Both Halloween and Homecoming have come and past. We might not have won the Homecoming, but I had a great time. And that’s all that matters. Halloween was full of crazy costumes and lots of fun. I will say this- the haunted house I went to was not that scary. It was fun and it had cool effects, but the talent was lacking from the actors. But I have a fun story to tell about the haunted house (you might think it’s lame but I’m proud of it so I’m gonna tell it). My friend and I were in front of the group we were going through the haunted house with so we stopped and waited for them to catch up. While we were a waiting, one of the actors came up behind us and tried to scare us (he failed), but he just stood there and stared at us trying to be creepy. Naturally, I just started talking to him about anything and everything. There was a soundtrack of eerie noises and screams playing so I started dancing to it. I then looked at the actor was said “man, this is a sick beat. Can I buy this on iTunes?” He then had to leave because he started laughing. That’s my fun Halloween story that I’m really proud. Did you find it interesting? (Probably not)

But now it’s time for November. Time to sign up for classes for next semester, apply for MayX study abroad, and most importantly, THANKSGIVING. So I’m ready for whatever November brings.
