OLLI NOTES August 30, 2019
Happy Labor Day! The OLLI office will be closed for the holiday. Office hours 8:30-5 resume Tuesday.

Join us for the Back to OLLI reception on Thursday, Sept. 5, 3-4:30 p.m. in Manly Lobby at the Herring Center. New Member Orientation begins at 2:30 p.m. in room 110 of the Herring Center. You may purchase lanyards, parking passes and OLLI mugs, pick up your nametag, and meet or reunite with your OLLI friends. Don’t miss the fun!

Fall registration continues! Please refer to your confirmation e-mail and note the “class status” for the courses for which you registered (registered, registered not paid, waitlist). For anyone showing a registered not paid status, you are registered for the course and just need to pay for it. **If you have been placed on a waitlist for a class, please know that we are continuing to work on these. It all depends on space in the room, instructor preference, the number of drops for that class, and/or whether we can move to a different room. If a class has spots open, you will receive a call from the office.

The 2019-2020 parking stickers have arrived! Furman University Police requires that all OLLI members purchase a parking sticker so that the cars are registered. This helps ensure your safety and security while you are on campus. Stickers are available in the OLLI office for $10 (check or cash only, please). You will need to provide your name, address, driver’s license number, make, model, and year of car, and tag number. Forms are available in the office, or print one here. Remove previous sticker before attaching new. Contact Alise Brown.

Are you an OLLI Member who has a current lifeguard certificate? OLLI is always looking for certified lifeguards to help with OLLI classes that meet at the PAC pool. Please contact Alise Brown or call (864)294-2141 if you are interested in serving as a lifeguard during any of our OLLI terms.
Carpet Cleaning! The carpets at the Herring Center will be cleaned this Friday, August 30. If you are planning a visit to the building, please plan accordingly. The OLLI Office will be open.
Are you interested in getting involved as a volunteer at OLLI? We currently have openings for Class Liaisons. Training/refresher will be September 5, 1:30 p.m. in Room HC113.
