**DEADLINE JUNE 15!** Learn more about your community and find ways to use your skills and experience to make a difference through Senior Leaders Greenville (SLG). A program of OLLI@Furman, SLG builds awareness of the essential role of seniors in the community and the issues they face, empowering participants to become active players seeking better lives for seniors in Greenville, the Upstate, and beyond. The class meets monthly for day-long sessions at locations around Greenville, Sep-May. Learn more on the website, and click here to apply for Class 6. Information is also in the OLLI office. SPECIAL EVENT! Curious to learn more about the landscape, culture and people of Iceland? If so, we have a treat for you. Join Furman Earth and Environmental Sciences Professor, Dr. Suresh Muthukrishnan, for a Photographic Journey of Iceland on Thursday, June 20 at 12:05 p.m., HC004. This will be a fun sneak peek at one of our Fall classes and a glimpse of a possible OLLI @ Furman trip to Iceland for summer 2020. Please feel free to bring your lunch and learn more about this interesting part of our world.

OLLI Crabtree Room Fall 2019 Photography Showcase Submission Call, subject matter OPEN, Hanging display September 4. Submissions due by August 1. Email ONE submission per artist to furmanolliphoto@gmail.com. Emailed photo should be no larger than 2000mp on the long side.

What’s Going at Furman?
Furman’s Music By the Lake Summer Concert Series will feature “The Greatest Generation” with the Poinsett Wind Symphony on Thursday, June 13 at 7:30 p.m. at McAlister Auditorium. All concerts in the series are FREE! Visit the Music Department website for more information.

The Furman Psychology Department is looking for more volunteers to participate in our newest study! We are taking a look at adults’ opinions about interpersonal interactions through an online survey that only takes about 30 minutes to complete. Sessions will take place in the Herring Center Computer Lab on June 12 from 12-1 p.m. Spaces are limited! Please email Monika S if you are interested in participating!

What’s Going on Around Greenville?
Greenville Theater will present Catch Me If You Can on May 31 – June 1, June 6-8, 13-15, 20-22 (Thurs, Fri, Sat) at and 8 p.m. June 2, 9, 16 & 23 (Sunday) at 3 p.m. A fantastic Broadway musical! This high-flying musical comedy follows the riveting true story of a con artist seeking fame and fortune with nothing more than charm, imagination and millions in forged checks. By popular demand on Sat, June 8 9-12 p.m., Greenville County Historical Society is pleased to announce an exclusive opportunity to obtain a copy of Jerry Powell’s memoir, My Childhood Memories of Growing Up in Greenville, SC in the 1940s and 50s. A limited number of books will be available for sale ($15) and signing by the author at the Historical Society’s new location, 100 Lavinia Avenue. Stop by to share stories, pick up this fantastic book, and enjoy light refreshments!

Warehouse Theater will present Pride and Prejudice on June 7-29. Literature’s greatest tale of latent love has never felt so theatrical, or so full of life than it does in this effervescent new adaptation. Visit the website for more information and to purchase tickets.

Salsa at Sunset, on June 8 at Graham Plaza in front of the Peace Center fountains, Greenville, SC. Open to the public; a FREE Upstate International event with the support of Piedmont Natural Gas.
