March 24, 2016

The OLLI Office will be closed March 25 in observance of Good Friday.

We will be OPEN and holding classes on Monday, March 28.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we cancelled most classes today while Furman hosted the funeral for Officer Allen Jacobs.  We spoke with some of the officers this morning, and they were very grateful.

Term fees are refundable through the end of the second week of classes (except for cooking classes). After the end of the second week (end of day Friday, April 1), no refunds will be given. An administrative charge of $10 will apply to any course cancellations. There is no fee if you drop a class and add a different one.

An informal committee of OLLI members is examining ways to facilitate meaningful engagement of OLLI members as volunteers with local organizations, commissions, causes, etc. Such engagement has the potential to improve both our own quality of life and that of our community. Please help by completing a brief survey online. To complete the survey, click here.

ARE YOU ENJOYING A FULFILLING VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE where the organization needs more volunteers? The same group of OLLI members would like to know. Please contact Tom Nowlin (912-660-1797) to share about the need and how more OLLI members could participate.

Have you met Sal? You might have noticed a new face around the Herring Center recently that is helping keep things clean and tidy around the Herring Center.  While Sheila is out, Sal has jumped in with great enthusiasm and we are certainly happy to have him here.  Please help us thank Sal for smiling while keeping up with nearly 2000 OLLI members!
