Welcome to Furman’s Making Comic’s May Experience Blog.
In this class, we will explore comics or sequential narrative art as a dynamic form of storytelling and a unique medium through which to express our stories, ideas, and desires. Class time will revolve around discussion of published work, craft technique, and lots of hands-on studio time. Our final products will include four short comic book projects, as well as three short presentation/blog entries called Comic Book Reports.
Along the way, we will post work-in-progress in the form of sketches, thumbnails, and rough pages so that you get a sense of how the final products were created.
