The South Carolina Academy of Authors announces the 4th annual Carrie McCray Nickens Fellowship in poetry. Awarded annually in April in the amount of $1000.00
Submission Guidelines: Applicants must be full-time South Carolina residents. All entries must be typed on 8×11 paper. There is no restriction to form or content.
Postmark Deadline: December 1, 2012
Manuscripts will not be returned.
To Apply: Submit two copies of your manuscript with separate cover sheets for each copy. Your manuscript must consist of 6-10 pages of unpublished poems, with no more than one poem per page. Poet’s name must not appear on manuscript pages. Cover sheet must contain poet’s name and contact information (USPS mailing address, email address, phone number) and titles of poems. There is a $15.00 entry fee, payable to South Carolina Academy of Authors. Unfortunately, they are not able to accept electronic submissions.
