During the 2010-2011 academic year the Furman Libraries:

  • Provided access to over 584,000 volumes

  • Added over 12,000 new items to the collection

  • Provided access to over 11,000 music, video, and multimedia items

  • Provided access to over 60,000 e-journals

  • Provided access to over 147,000 e-books and online encyclopedias

  • Provided access to over 325 research databases

  • Provided access to over 1,900 periodicals in print

  • Provided access to over 140 computers in the Libraries and adjoining labs

In the 2010-2011 academic year students, faculty, and others:

  • Visited the library website over 770,000 times

  • Visited the main library building over 360,000 times

  • Checked out almost 50,000 books, DVDs, and other items

  • Received over 4,000 items through Interlibrary Loan

  • Asked almost 2,700 reference questions

  • Attended library instruction classes 2,648 times in 171 sessions
