Earthquake in Charleston!

Did you know a 7.3 magnitude earthquake rocked Charleston, SC in 1886?

A new display in the Government Documents area of the library (main floor, near Reference) highlights this event and the library resources that document it.

Come and see photos of the damage to familiar Charleston streets and landmarks. See the U.S. Geological Survey studies on the tectonics and seismology of the area. Draw your own conclusions about history repeating itself!
