FREE KORU Mindfulness Workshop for Furman Employees

Meghan Slining and Min-Ken Liao are pleased to offer their, 4-session ‘Introduction to Mindfulness’ course to the Furman employee community. In this course, participants will practice many techniques for managing their stress and calming their nervous system. The course will also help employees build the habit of using mindfulness in their life on a regular basis.

Mindfulness offers tools to find moments of calm, connection and even joy amidst it all. Research shows that mindfulness meditation can improve well-being, counteract daily stress responses and may be helpful in reducing burnout, stress, anxiety and depression.

The interactive course meets for 75 minutes, once a week for 4 weeks. Each week we will introduce 2-3 new techniques and you will spend 10 minutes per day practicing during the week. Folks get a lot more out of the course if they stick with it from beginning to end, therefore attendance at all 4 sessions is highly recommended. Committed participation also helps us build a mindfulness community of support.

Course limited to 15 participants.

Thursdays from 5:15-6:30 pm EST (course taught through Zoom online)

9/23, 9/30, 10/7, and 10/14
