Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream
Craving something sweet and decadent? Try this easy Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream with just two ingredients- frozen bananas and peanut butter.
I like to slice ripe bananas into freezable containers and store them in the freezer. They are perfect to snack on when the weather is hot, add to smoothies, banana bread, or for this banana ice cream recipe.
You can purchase frozen sliced bananas in the grocery store but they are cheaper to just make at home.
To prepare the ice cream, remove frozen sliced bananas from the freezer and let them sit out at room temperature for about 10 minutes to soften slightly. Then transfer them into a food processor fitted with a blade.
Cover and blend until smooth, scraping the sides of the processor as needed.
You can eat it alone as banana ice cream. Or add a little bit of creamy peanut butter and process until well combined. Try other flavors such as almond butter or chocolate hazelnut spread. For a fruity version, blend frozen bananas with frozen strawberries or frozen blueberries.
Enjoy!
