Subscribed to over 800 periodicals in print
Provided access to over 50,000 electronic titles (journals, encyclopedias, etc.)
Provided access to over 30,000 e-books
Provided access to over 150 research databases
Provided 150 computers in the Libraries and adjoining labs
Spent $1.8 million on books, journals, databases, and other resources
In the 2009-2010 academic year Furman students, faculty, and others:
Visited the main library over 340,000 times
Checked out over 51,000 books, DVDs and other items
Received over 4,000 items through Interlibrary Loan
Asked over 2,600 reference questions
Attended library instruction classes 2,694 times in 176 sessions
WOW!! i knew the library was the GREATEST place ever, but i didn’t know so many other people knew too!! and over a half million volumes! COW-A-BUNGA!!! thank you for providing this information! i shall have a happy weekend thinking of all the people enjoying the library.
