As the semester winds down and final papers and exams loom large, Furman University Libraries are here to support you through the final stretch. We’re excited to offer two special opportunities to help you stay focused, recharge, and finish strong.

Need some company while working on your final papers? Join us for the Writing Marathon on Thursday, April 24 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the Hanysworth Room of the James B. Duke Library. Whether you’re working on a research paper, creative writing project, or final reflections, this event is designed to help you make steady progress in a supportive environment. Snacks will be provided to keep your energy up while you write!
Exam Week Study Breaks – May 1, 2, and 5
We know that studying for exams can be intense, so we’re offering a few relaxing activities to help you take a breather. Drop by the James B. Duke Library from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. for the following study breaks:
- Thursday, May 1: Succulent Planting (in partnership with Eco Reps)

These study breaks are the perfect chance to take a moment for yourself, connect with others, and enjoy a little fun during finals week.
Whether you’re writing, studying, or just in need of a break, we hope you’ll join us at these events. You’ve got this, Paladins—and we’re here to help you cross the finish line!
