It’s been more than a decade since the release of “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring,” and this year marks the 75th anniversary since the publication of J.R.R. Tolkien’s book “The Hobbit.” This means its a great time to brush up on the story before the much-anticipated cinematic debut of “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” on December 14th. Luckily the library has everything you need to get ready for the upcoming release. Read up on the series in print, as well as various reviews and interpretations. Students can even find The Hobbit audio version to listen to on the drive back home for the holidays. Check out a copy after exams and escape to Middle Earth with Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, and the rest before the movie is released to theaters on the 14th.
