We’re thrilled to welcome three new members to our library team! Each brings a unique set of skills, passions, and experiences that will greatly enrich our community. Here’s a brief introduction to Alicia, Frances, and Jean, with links to learn more about each of them.
Alicia: Financial Records and Acquisitions Assistant
Alicia has joined us as the Financial Records and Acquisitions Assistant in the Digital and Resource Management Division. Her role involves ordering and receiving resources, and she’s been enjoying the chance to explore the library’s collection while getting to know her colleagues. Alicia has a penchant for daydreaming about all the books she could read and has a soft spot for her agave plant, Alvin. Frances: Daytime Circulation Supervisor
Frances is our new Daytime Circulation Supervisor in the Access and Outreach Services department. She works closely with our Student Assistants and colleagues in Access Services to facilitate the smooth circulation of library materials. Jean: Outreach Services Librarian
Jean Thrift has joined us as the Outreach Services Librarian, where she’ll be working with Furman’s students, faculty, and staff to support their research. Jean has quickly settled into her new role, finding the environment at Furman both supportive and welcoming.
