On April 14, there was a grand opening of Furman’s first Little Free Library. The effort to create the Library on campus was led by student Savannah Steet. A Little Free Library is a free book exchange where visitors are encouraged to “take a book, leave a book.”
Some of the books for the Little Free Library’s grand opening were donated from the personal collection of Jenny Colvin, Furman’s Associate Director of Outreach who passed away in May 2022. Her books include a commemorative book label.
The Little Free Library is located behind the Furman Dining Hall near the lake. Its cheerful lavender color is hard to miss. Feel free to stop by and take a book / leave a book. We hope to see you there!
