The Condition of Education
In 1975, Congress mandated that the U.S. Department of Education compile and produce an annual report, The Condition of Education, to help inform policymakers and the public about the progress of education in the United States. Each year’s report presents indicators of important developments and trends in U.S. education. A new display in the Government Documents Collection highlights the 2013 edition of The Condition of Education, which reports statistics collected during the 2010-2011 school year. The library’s Government Document Collection located on the bottom floor of the library has print issues of the report dating back to 1975. Electronic access is available through the library’s catalog from 1993 to the present.
