The Furman Libraries are pleased to announce the 2013 Ethel Carlisle Southern Librarian Scholarship recipient.
The scholarship, established in 1985, is available to a Furman rising or graduating senior who anticipates becoming a Librarian or a Furman graduate who has been accepted into an American Library Association accredited graduate program.
This year’s recipient of the $2000 scholarship is Dusty Roether. Dusty is in the Master of Library Science program at the University of South Carolina and plans to finish next year. While a grad student, he is working at both the USC music library and the law library. His areas of interest include information organization, metadata and cataloging, and web design
The library staff and faculty are proud of the accomplishments of all of our scholarship recipients and look forward to seeing their many future successes as well.
