Sunday: Dogs Visit the Library

It’s not just our books that are dog-eared!  During finals week, the Library, partnering with the Resident Life Council, will be hosting therapy dogs for students who need a break to de-stress.  Studies have shown that interaction with dogs reduces stress by decreasing the level of cortisol and increases happiness by releasing endorphins.

The dogs will be in front of the Library on Sunday, December 9th, from 2-3:30 pm.

Complimentary snacks, coffee, and hot chocolate will also be provided as part of this stress reducing break.

Here’s a few pictures from when the dogs visited earlier this week.  Did you take any pictures of the therapy dogs?  Send them to us at laura.baines@furman.edu
