Smithsonian Global Sound can be found in the All Databases list. Your search can be simple – e.g., show every song by Lead Belly – or complex. For example, you can search for all examples of belly dancing songs featuring the lute as an instrument. Or you can browse collections of world music, jazz, classical, spoken word, animal sounds, hip-hop, rap, humor, punk, gospel, and more. Once users identify the tracks they want, they will hear their selections over the internet through headphones or speakers. Users can also create playlists of their favorite recordings.
