PBS and NPR are now posting taped interviews and videos of talks by academics, joining many other providers of online lectures. Many of the lecture/presentations are offered in series whose titles include Tsunami and Katrina, slavery and the Making of the American States, Breast Cancer Awareness. By aligning lectures with PBS and NPR programs [including NOVA, Frontline, American Experience, Nature, NewsHour, Great Performances, among others] the Forum Network facilitates audiences exploring topics in greater depth. Lectures are also contextualized with speaker biographies, related lectures and books, captions and transcripts, and downloadable audio, when possible.
