DRAM is a not-for-profit resource providing CD quality audio, complete and original liner notes and essays from New World Records, Composers Recordings, Inc. (CRI) and other important labels. Currently, there are over 1,500 CDs (9,800 compositions) in DRAM. The basis for the current collection is the diverse catalogue of American music recordings by New World Records. From folk to opera, Native American to jazz, 19th century classical to early rock, musical theater, contemporary, electronic and beyond.
Once within the DRAM database, you can search by composer, artist/ensemble, or title; or browse by composer, artist, ensemble, instrument, or record label. Selections are streamed to your computer, and may not be downloaded. Each track comes with information about the recording, as well as images of the cover art and liner notes. This is a great resource for contemporary music, and I encourage you to check it out!
