FREE Beginner Group Exercise Class for Faculty, Staff, and Spouses

Would you like to begin an exercise program but don’t know where to start?  Join us for a free beginner group exercise class exclusive for faculty, staff, and spouses.

Classes will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30- 1:15 p.m. in the Herman W. Lay Physical Activity Center dance studio from January 13- April 28.  They will be led by Kelly Frazier, Lecturer of Health Sciences.

The format will begin with four weeks of beginner resistance training exercises.  Modifications will be provided for those with limitations and all participants will be encouraged to exercise at their own pace.

Participants will also have the opportunity to sample beginner cycling and yoga classes, receive an orientation to the Furman Fitness Center, and be informed about other ways to stay active on campus.  Participants may join the class for one entire semester at no cost and then be encouraged to utilize other campus resources to stay active.

Registration and the completion of a Physical Activity Readiness questionnaire are required.  For more information, please contact Kelly Frazier via email at kelly.frazier@furman.edu or ext. 2816.
