Summer hours: The OLLI office will be open 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. during the summer.

 

Summer classes begin next week!  It’s not too late to register. Pick up a brochure in the office, and a few more to share with friends and neighbors.  Summer is a great time to try OLLI for the first time.  Classes are just $35 and there is no membership requirement.

What’s GOING ON at Furman University?

 

Bridges to a Brighter Future, a program for high school students whose potential outdistances their circumstances, will hold their Career Expo on June 20, 7-9 p.m., on Furman’s campus.  Organizers are looking for volunteers willing to talk to students about their own careers.  If you are interested in participating, please sign up on this Google Doc.  For more information, contact Dean Bailey, Bridges Assistant Director.

 

Furman University’s Music by the Lake Summer Concert Series, a Greenville tradition since 1968, runs Thursday evenings through August 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the university’s amphitheater. Learn about personal protection, environmental awareness and practical self-defense techniques from members of GHS’ Police Department. The workshop is free, but registration is required.
