Electric Scooter for Library Access

A single-seat electric scooter is available to aid people who would like to access the library. This is a free service offered to students, faculty, staff, and visitors with a permanent or temporary mobility impairment. The scooter may be obtained from the Furman University Police Department, located on the bottom floor of Hipp Hall (handicap parking is available in the Hipp Hall lot). Persons borrowing the scooter must show valid ID and sign a release of liability. The scooter is available on a first come, first served basis, so please call 864-294-2000 to confirm availability. For more information, visit the University’s “accessible parking and getting around on campus” webpage.
