Since the fall of 2010, Information Technology Services (ITS) has been monitoring printing at Furman. During the past year, over 3.3 million pages have been printed in the computer labs.
Beginning January 3rd, ITS instituted a new print management system for all computer labs. Here’s what you need to know:

The new system will allow you to print 1,250 single sided pages for the year. 500 pages for each semester, 250 pages for the summer, and a 50% per page discount for printing duplex (2nd page free), effectively allowing you to print 2,500 pages per year. According to ITS, over 92% of students printed less than 2,500 pages last year.

A tally will be provided on each lab computer to inform you of your remaining print balance.

If you have less than 100 pages remaining in your quota, you may request an additional 100 pages at the IT Service Center located on the bottom floor of the Library. There will be no charge for requesting additional pages but the quota cannot be increased until you have less than 100 pages remaining in your tally.

A special PIN number can be obtained for student clubs & organizations which can be distributed to have the club printing not count against the student’s quota.
