- Acquire a thorough knowledge of the architecture of France. - Define and understand key architectural concepts. - Place the development of the art form into a broad historical context: the history which explains and elucidates the monuments and structures discussed will be presented in lectures and readings before on-site visits. - Provide sensitivity to [...] 1. Assigned readings from the required text and/or handouts to prepare for our meetings, discussions, and on-site visits 2. One weekly blog entry 3. Active and sustained participation all semester (we expect you to thoroughly prepare the readings so as to enthusiastically and insightfully contribute to discussion, asks frequent questions, and volunteer answers and opinions) [...] Each week, you will post, on the course blog, an entry related to the visits and discussions of the week.
