It is that time of the year again – Fall. In that apparent serenity lies an eternal cycle of change.Everything is transient. Everything is beautiful. Aah, if only I could stop time and live in this beauty forever!

It has been another crazy week, and I am sure there are many more to come. But with each passing week, I only grow fonder of Furman.

While this past week was comparatively less busy, it gave me some time to unwind and relax. Most of all, it gave me a lot of time to think about how fortunate I am to reside in such a spectacular campus that looks breathtaking in fall!

1. FALL IS HERE!

I have been taking innumerable pictures of the campus because it looks so astonishing during fall!

2. ART KEEPS ME SANE :

Sometimes, it becomes extremely difficult to balance academics and recreation at Furman. Each time I feel stressed, I resort to my art as it becomes a source of catharsis for me. For my First Year Seminar “Finding Your Life Purpose”, I was supposed to make an art project and relate it to a story that I read. It made me feel ecstatic to be able to draw something metaphorically related to the story I read, and being lauded for it!

#3. MY NEW ROOM :

It is quite amusing to me how I, being a freshmen, got both the Lakeside and the South Housing living experience.

I recently moved from Townes Hall to Geer in South Housing and and got assigned a single! It was very exciting for me to be able to redo my room again and go gaga over shopping!

#4. Pumpkin Carving Contest :

As a part of the International Connection Program, we got a chance to get into the Halloween mood and carve pumpkins with our ICP mentors! Since my mentor is in India, I decided to go with a great friend of mine – Rachel!

I carved my first pumpkin and *tried* making it look like the ghost rider! It was messy and disgusting, but I had an absolutely great time!

Look at us pumpkin-carvers!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Until my next post,

Warm Love
